5/24

En clase hoy, we went over the Islamic history of Spain while in the classroom, the walked around el Barrio Santa Cruz/la Judería (the Jewish neighborhood/quarters) seeing a lot of sights to learn more of the history, and we saw el Torre de Oro - The Tower of Gold - a military watch tower.











After class, I went home for lunch which included crema de verduras (creamed vegetable soup).

Then, I went to a couple tiendas with Ashley and Dee before joining others from SAIIE to go to a Flamenco show at la Casa de la Guitarra. El Flamenco is a common Spanish song/dance with the guitar, and the show was amazing!









We went home for dinner - - then we met with everyone from SAIIE to go to a barre for drinks. We had tinto del verano, of course, then a few of us girls went to a stand very close to our house for churros con chocolate!
