5/23

After a little bit of indoor class, we walked to el Palacio de Lebrija. Built in the 16th Century, it was remodeled and owned by the Countess of Lebrija, Doña Regla Manjón y Margelina  in the 19th Century- she left her mark of Mundejar Renaissance style and many decorations.

After touring the palace, we walked around a bit with our professor Reda. Speaking of walking, we walk everywhere - it is nice to walk around and see everything but it definitely gets tiring in the heat!

We came home after class for almuerzo and relaxed/took a siesta. I think this will be a daily weekday thing of class to lunch to siesta.

Tonight, we went with Elena, who works in Student Affairs at SAIIE, to las tiendas en el centro. She showed us the best stores to shop at, but we didn't do any shopping. We'll definitely be back!

After, we got ice cream (helado) at Rayas, a heladería en la calle Reyes Católicos. On our way home we walked near the river behind our house.
